New FD valve body orafter market performance valve body

    Hi,
I just found a new 1991 AOD valve body at a local Ford dealer.
I am wondering if it would be worth my money to buy it. They want $200.00 for it.
It would go in the all stock 150 HP 1990 Colony Park.
I am not having any problems with the car or the transmission. I'm just wondering if
it would be a noticeable and easy swap in possibly putting in a shift kit or would it be better to buy an
    after market valve body.

    Thank you,
    Mike

If you aren't having any problems, I'd leave that at the dealership. By itself it won't make a bit of noticable difference, if any at all.

You can put a shift kit in your current VB or buy an aftermarket one if you are looking to change the shifting behavior. Put the $200 in that instead.

      Leave it alone.

Invest in a silverfox valvebody if you ever decide to UP your horsepower and want the transmission to play nice with it.

Thank you guys. I was thinking it would be easier to put the shift kit in while still driving then install and wait for D-Day.

I'd rather order one from Silverfox and then send them back my core, after the swap is done and the car runs good.
