My beater is very quiet... even with it's small leak. People always marvel at how quiet that car is (after it warms up).

I like all kinds of things. Mark VII's are really comfy, as are GMT400 trucks. Makes me realize how much the lower back in the Town Car sucks. If someone offered me an equally minty VII I think I'd trade...

yeah I need to add some lower back support to mine. The towel that I have been using gets the job done but I'd prefer to not need it. I have no idea whether they never had low back support, or if it got worse over time but either way it needs another block of foam in there. There was a thread where a dude refit the power adjustable lumbar support stuff from a later model into a box, and I find that very appealing.

That's all they would need too. If you ever do a write up on it and I haven't traded my Townie for a VII, I'd be happy to follow that. Car would be perfect if it had lower back support. I used to think it was fine until I started DD'ing this truck and occasionally driving Ashley's VII.

Comment about your sig there inspector: I think it would cause people to do a double take if for the Continental it simply said, "1984 Lincoln Continental - Rolls coal" They'd either be tipped off to thinking it was the rare TD or that you swapped something in it.. Just my two pesos.
