    Not The Average Vic

Have been keeping my eye out for a 86-91 car in great shape and killer deal. Found a one owner 86 Ltd with all dealer service records since date purchased, always garaged, immaculate, backseat looked to never even be sat in. This place has tons of info and is a lot more alive than CrownVic.net, looking forward to see what the diehards think. Me building a box vic was originally inspired by the "Trophy LTD" and this build is going to be fun!

    Big plans, big plans!!!

That car looks spotless. Well, you are in box central here, most of us are on cvn as well, but most of the box activity is here.

It is, I need to take some of the inside and under the hood, barely 60K miles. I already have a pile of parts waiting for all my free time when the wife allows me . I will make a build thread soon, hopefully nobody gets too sour of me cutting up this mint box.

        Welcome to the forum.

Looks like a beaut. Good luck with your project. Its your car purchased with your money. You can do what you please. Some may not agree but in the end they are not the benefactors for your project.

Looking forward to what you have planned.

That car is sharp. Don't worry, no one has yelled at me yet for cutting one up.

                          That's an insanely clean box!

My wife considers the car as the mistress or the other woman. It is an ongoing discussion.

She would like the car better as a convertible.

                              Thanks guys

I have installed the temporary front/rear lift coils until I do the custom front suspension over the winter, I want to have some fun with it and will be in stages. Picked up tires and have been polishing the aluminum wheels. Also did new : spark plugs, cap/wires, fluid in trans/engine/diff, TBS/IAC, cleaned EGR, timing, built twin stand-up spare tire carrier for trunk, cant remember what else.

here is a few pics as of now, sorry for the crappy quality...

I am having a slight problem with how it is running and trying to track it down. It has a hang idle after you blip the throttle (while in park) and after coming to a complete stop sometimes idle goes so low it dies. For some damn reason it drives perfect with the spout disconnected. Which led me to believe its a timing issue. I have timed it correctly and with spout back in it does advance.

I am thinking maybe replace all vacuum lines next???

How much do you think it hurts it driving with spout disconnected?
