Haha, the fuckin' bullhorns just kinda work for some reason. You crazy asshole! Seriously though, I love it. I got accused of being a "California redneck" by a guy at work and that's ok with me really. I don't like douchebag non-functional lifted fag trucks but a good pickup with useful mods, I can totally dig. Also haven't listened to "country" music for a long time because they haven't made it in years. The shit they pass off as it these days is the same "rollin' coal" brodozer douchebag shit that makes me hate white people for having just as dumb habits as others.

Anyhow, glad to see you're having fun with your car and keep it up. Making a workhorse out of it is even better!

^^^Funny shit. "I haven't listened to country music in a long time because they haven't made it in years." So true. I think pantera77 uploaded a funny comic about that some time ago, can't remember name to repost it.

I don't have much for plans with the car, besides keeping it on the road and fixing things that break lol. On that note, I picked up a parts car yesterday, 1989 MGM. It has 210,000 miles, runs like shit (knocks, burns oil), trans shifts hard out of 1st, and is rusted to hell. But I drove it home 2 hours from Milwaukee. Mostly I want some of the trim/plastic to replace what's busted on my good car.
Anyways, at some point in the past, my car (the "good" one) was broken into, trunk latch and glove box ripped open.

I removed the glovebox latch from the 89, but it was broken

I'm assuming that can't be fixed, anyone know where I could buy one online? Currently I'm using velcro lol
Any advice on the trunk latch? I can still shut it and use the button inside the car to open it, but I'd like to be able to open it from outside. Thanks.

Go to your parts store's help section. They have the non locking type which they can order if they don't have it. It is about $10. Ebay has them however they are mostly used and will break anytime. Better to have new. If the parts car has a good one, you could swap out the lock cylinder and reused the good pieces.
If the metal is not too distorted on the trunk, the replacement lock might fit. The parts car lock should swap over. Just drill out the rivets that hold the cover to the trunk lid, From the inside, remove the lock. Reinstall. Use rivets to replace the cover or maybe small nuts and bolts.

Decided to peel the leather wrap off my steering wheel; it was pretty roached and was disintegrating, so off it went. Used my pocket knife to skin it, and goo-gone to get all that nasty brown crap off

Overall, I'm really happy the way it turned out. It looks way nicer than the old leather, and I love the thinness.

Always wondered what one would look like stripped. Not bad at all.

Looks like 70s f100 wheel. Very nice. Gives it a classic look.

They made non-leather wheels for these. It looks almost like a skinned wheel, except right at the spot where the spokes meet the rim it isn't necked down. They also had a little plastic insert that had a woodgrain pattern under it running around the wheel. If you put them side by side you'll see it but its not real noticeable otherwise. The annoying part about the non-leather wheels is the plastic starts to break down after a while and it gets sticky.
