Ah, thanks for the info fellas, you guys are on point!

Cop chip eh? What about cop shocks? Unfortunately it certainly isn't a model made before catalytic converters but am told it still runs on regular gas...

It's 100 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses. Hit it!

Return trip home is tomorrow. I'm gonna try and beat this, but it's going to be like 14,000*F out tomorrow. Might be a little difficult.
But I'll be back in a 2 weeks. By then I'll have more aero mods done. Definitely shooting for 30/600 next trip out here.

Well the heat and humidddity kick the heck out of engine performance. I am wondering if it is worth using at least a mid grade during hot spells on modern cars which normally run just fine on regular. I don't know how much of the tune is based on air temp. If it just retards timing when the engine knocks then a higher octane would certainly make a difference under acceleration. I don't know how much it would help with fuel economy under typical , or in Ryan's case, "gentle" throttle use.

I actually do have both in my Towncar. The ECM is from a Mustang SSP, the shocks are Motorshaft specified for a mid 90s P71.

I caught it but ignored it. No bullshit on the cop chip or cop shocks though.

Well, the first 200 miles went great this morning. I was taking my time and hyper-miling.
110 miles outside of Cleveland, I realized that if I didn't hurry up, I'd be stuck in morning rush hour traffic. And at the that point I wanted to be home and see my family. I proceeded to do around 70-80 mph for the next few hours. Only then I realized that I may not make it home on gas. I refilled the 2 gallon can again, so I wasn't worried about running out; I just didn't want to. So, I resorted back to hyper-miling, and started doing some calculations and realized that I should have just enough gas to get home.
I did. Total trip was 503.1 miles. I made it home. Just took it to the store and it's still going at 514 miles. Not gonna beat the new record, but I'll definitely take back-to-back 500+ mile tanks of gas.
Now the mods can begin for the return trip in 11 days.

It has cop shocks and a 440 plant and it's a model that can run on good on any gas. As for shocks for your car TOJ3 get the Billsteins I heard good things but not avilable for older CV"s and GMQ'S.

I'm currently running the KYB Gas-A-Justs on all four corners. Thanks for the heads up though.

I found the secondary color for the Tank. No more Grabber Green.
