Been busy this week. I typically get to work in the garage after 8pm; when the boys are in bed.
I've been trying to make some serious progress too, since I only will be in the garage for 3-ish hours at a time (until the weekend).

More gratuitous clean engine bay pics:

Header panel, and wiper cowl all removed, along with the fan shroud and some other stuff.

Intake manifold is out. and everything up top is disconnected, with the load leveler installed.

The drive train should be removed some time this weekend.

The only unclean thing I can see is the low pressure line on the AC. But unless it's leaky... meh. I'm slightly jealous. Mainly of the true HPP part.

Pulled the steel drive shaft out and it weighted in at 27 lbs .
The MMC one that going in weighed 17 lbs.
So there's a 38% weight reduction in the drive train and 10lbs overall. So with the title saying it weighs 3617 lbs , it's now down to 3607; well, at least until I can confirm it on the scales.
My goal now it to be under 3500 lbs, which will be easy. Maybe I should aim for 3400lbs......

That's encroaching on SN95 Mustang territory. That would be pretty impressive.

One thing nice about owning a Lincoln is that you can easily justify adding weight on the basis that its supposed to be a luxury car anyway.

                  Getting shit done.

It came equipped with a mechanical and an electric fan. Well, it doesn't need the mechanical fan anymore. It has been removed. Plus, I can install my sweet Mark8 electric fan. This brings the total weight removed to 18 lbs, which, brings the weight down to 3599 lbs. Lol.

Maybe more work tonight. I'm out of propane, so we'll see.

I won't paint everything green. I like being able to distinguish between what's supposed to go in the car, and what I use to fix the car, lol.

It has air ride. I've disabled it since I've been jacking it up and down.

That is how you're supposed to jack it.

                            Up and down.

I had to use a screw jack to help beat something off today. Seems Ryan and I go about things in the same manner.
