That's how I ended up with mine! A friend of mine's dad bought a new car and I came over after not seeing him for a while and saw this in the garage (I've lusted after the car for a couple years). It apparently had sat the whole summer (I got in august 2015). Because I am classified as an adult per the government, I bought it on a whim because I love wagons and had nobody to tell me no.

Now I don't feel so bad about contemplating buying a ton and a half of old iron for smallish money. It doesn't have wheels though.

The MegaMerc was a sort of "long term"7 impulse buy.... I saw it sitting behind a gas station w/it's nose in the air for a couple weeks. I couldn't take it anymore, stopped in & bought on a payment plan... I had the money to buy it, but had to get a project out of the garage before I could bring it home.

                          My 1987 Mercury Colony Park

Well, after a radiator, water pump, and timing cover repair for coolant leaks back in November m, the intake has decided it wants to spew as well. So, it's at the shop (because it's damn cold here) for a new intake gasket.

I would've let it slide if it weren't for the fact that it went from 1/4 gallon a couple months ago to half a gallon every 20 miles.

That's what I hate about fixing coolant leaks. I see small leaks in old stuff as pressure reliefs; fix it and now it will put more pressure on the whole system which will make another weak link fail. That Evan's coolant Jay Leno always talks about begins to look more appealing with each passing day or car I dick with. That stuff doesn't generate pressure within the system and is engineered for life.

I like fixing coolant leaks because it tells me what is weak and needs to be replaced. Mine doesn't dribble coolant. I also shake when I pee because dribbles are no bueno.
