For Sale: 1988 Mad Marquis (Mercury Grand Marquis)

Thinking of getting an Expedition (Bought one!). Now that the beater is livable to regular folks again, I was wondering if anyone wants it. GMN price: $1300 obo as it sits. Price negotiable.

    The good:
    Mechanically great - everything works.
Essentially a tow package car now with 3.55 limited slip rear axle.
E-fan works great with the HD radiator.
Cop spec KYB Gas-a-just shocks up front.
Cargo coils and KYB Monomax truck shocks in the rear.
This car will haul a lot without complaint.
    WR-AOD (wide ratio gears).

    The bad:
Beater - body is beat up but straight enough.
Leans to the right a little (seems to level once I get in the driver seat though)
Almost time for new brake pads.
WR-AOD with stock valve body means the TV cable is a little tight so it won't bog out 3rd.

I think they all list to starboard sly. Both of my '90s have and I've never understood it. All that torque? Anyhow, good deal for somebody in the area, we know it's been well-maintained, albeit run into by every asshole in texas, lol.

Re the lean: If cars had optional A/C they got a stiffer passenger side front spring. Don't get a left and right spring from the aftermarket.
