    Roof Rack?

So I've been looking into purchasing a canoe. If I do, however, I'll have to keep it strapped to my car (1988 Grand Marquis) basically all the time since I have no where else to keep it.. That said, I'm trying to find a better alternative to strapping it through doors and to the bumpers. I'm definitely not looking to spend a boatload of money on a fancy canoe holder or whatever. Any suggestions? I don't mind mutilating my roof a bit to make it work, the car's ugly as sin anyways. Thanks.

something like this might work... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-Pa...-/182057361226

though you might want something a little more durable (and this one looks more adjustable): http://www.ebay.com/itm/Window-Door-...-/262978362783

The ugliness is due mostly to rust, peeling clear coat, and paint oxidizing.

Try to contact yakima. They also offer universal roof racks.
