At the local yard today looking around and spotted this. I'm always keeping an eye out for a k code rear end..but I'm curious what this is. Anyone know?

Interesting. 5 by itself would be an open 3.27.
2 by itself in other ford lines is an open 3.55.

    And for an Aerostar, 25 = open 8.8 3.27.

You will now have to get a photo of the pumpkin and the axle tag to see whats really under this car.

But an open 3.27 seems to be the most logical conclusion, cause I doubt it has a Dana 60 in it (truck, 3.33).

    Alex.

Looks like an open 3.27, according to the diff tag.

something .27, open. 3.27 is most logical. If it was a 3.27 limited slip you'd see 3L27 88 ####### on the bottom row. The other numbers are production codes and such.

Damn. I was hoping I had found a rare special order option or something. Oh well

The codes did change at some point in the mid-late 90s. I don't know what the new code system translates to.
