FYI: Passenger side low beam suddenly inoperative. No power to harness conector for the low beam, all other headlamps worked. Used aftermarket Sylvania super white lamps for years, but apparently the ECU got bored with these and switched off power. All other componenta incl LCM were OK. Replaced lamps with OEM and problem disappeared. Ford tech said he is seeing more of this fussy behavior on more FoMoCo cars.

Given how OEM's design things, the LCM is probably designed for an OEM bulb load, anything beyond that overheats the electronics and that goes into thermal shutdown (there is a FET or something for each headlight. Do a relay mod if you want to run aftermarket lamps (just low beams if you have DRL's though)
