      That's a nice chunk that's cracked away at the base of the carburetor. Probably can patch that up, but I wonder how that happened, save from dropping it.

        Most of the nos VVs I have seen go for around $169 however they are for the 351. This one for the 255/302 seems to be much harder to find. It will be interesting to see how long this sits on Ebay at $249, especially in it's broken state.

          I ran an 87 351W MCU in my 82 302. It worked well. They aren’t picky. It also had an ‘81 302 VV carb on it. Again, not picky.
          That mess did much better on gas than my 88 is doing lately. That’s not really a compliment to the VV, as much as it is a complaint about the 88. SEFI used to do better.

            honestly I didn't scroll through the pics, didn't see the one showing the busted ear. Could probably fake it with a washer to clamp it down, but that definitely cuts into what its worth.

              I got the best mileage in my '90 when it had a proper functioning VV. 17.7 50/50 combined MPG from a carbed 351 is not too shabby.
