There's the exact Mercury version of that out there, which I've resisted getting because it doesn't have the bumperette provisions. It's been in my watch list for years, taunting me...

You can have what you want then.

I've been under the impression you can't drill chrome without bad things happening?

Also, it's got the centre plate mount holes, and I'd rather have the offset plate.

I don't know how useful it is, but I came across this in a ford parts book. (obviously a 80 bumper though)

Yelp. Thanks to Zach again for picking it up and thanks to some lucky work scheduling the bumper is now in my possession. Not bad for being close to 40 years old.

I cleaned her up a bit at work by brushing out all of the dirt from its backside then cleaning that and the front side with some general cleaners. Should clean up pretty well once I get her back home and clay and polish the chrome out.

Will probably take preventive measure on the back side by scuffing the surface with a scotch brite pad and applying rust converter on the couple of spots of surface rust as well as coat the entire back side with rust encapsulator and the finish it off with extreme gloss chassis black paint.

            More to come.
