5 speed in late model Panthers

I have gotten pretty hell bent on having a stick shift in my daily driver. I have long considered putting a T-5 in my '89 Grand Marquis. But I'm not sure I want to go to the trouble and cost on a car that old.

I am leaning toward buying a newer Panther and putting in a T-45. I see it has been done many times. I do have one question that I have not seen addressed. I think that some late model Panthers have adjustable-height pedals. Does this complicate the clutch pedal installation?

Remove the old adjustable pedal stuff, put in a set of Pier's pedals (Pier is on CVN as 2004_p71), opt for the TR3650 as it is stronger.

It’s literally a kit for the new ones, from what I have seen.

            Awesome, thanks man.

Was the TR3650 used in V6 cars or only V8?

I researched the TR3650 the other day when my nephew came over to talk future car mods with me. We read this thread, followed the link(s) for the swap kit/pedals, and I looked it up on wikipedia, the TR3650 only came in 2001-2004 Mustang GTs, & the GTs were only V8s.

                Sorta.
The TR3650 you want for a Panther is the 2001-04 version.
The 2005-2010 Mustang GT also had a TR3650, but it was set up for hydraulic clutch and the shifter was mounted in a different spot.
