    Embrace Krown or Fluid Film!

We just had both trucks done and then I went & touched up areas they didn't hit too well. Seems to like the rusty Ford a lot, I feel good knowing they're both oily messes underneath haha. Beats rotten fuel & brake lines not to mention snapped spring perches, soft floor pans and such.

Share your knowledge why...body style or mechanical fuckery?
          That interior looks pretty clean.

It's mostly minor stuff others might not abide by but I prefer to buy the end years of any car as they work out more kinks, simplify things and later tech.

In the case of a Mark VII, '90 - '92's got the updated dash, blade type light bulb connectors, more grounds to help with electrical demons these things have, driver's side air bag, LSC's got the BBS-like wheels- 16's over the previously used 15's IIRC, Bill Blasses 91 & up got the same bags as LSC's, so essentially an LSC with a digital dash. Stuff like that.

                I've got an '88

Wasn't 86-87 that weird crossover year for stereo wiring? Not sure if the JBL equipped cars got common ground as well but that definitely is a plus about my '88: none of that BS to worry about or rewire. I do have an early style JBL amp. I think I checked with kishy's '84 and the connectors don't match with the silver football. So you can't easily upgrade to the JBL amp in one of the earlier cars like you can with the late '87-'89 cars.

gotta find a buyer for the 06 and get my garage built.

yea the stereo sucks, but i like the rear light panel better and the waffle grille...i also like the 86-87 interior better.

It’s so personal preference. I much prefer 88/89 to 86/87. I’m also in the vast minority in that I like the 89 Amber lenses.

I'd pretty much only consider buying an '88 or '89. If an '89 was purchased, it would get clear parking lamp lenses, proper badging (that mix match font BS the '89 cars had was just flaccid). Ashley's 89 seemed to run even better than my '88. That and her check engine light actually worked. Still haven't figured or looked into which wire to add to get mine to pop on. Might look into that over the winter since the dash has to come apart to look into my clock.
