    Lincoln LS Throttle Body?

Been looking for a cheap 70mm throttle body for my car, but the DBW really throws things off, not as easy as a simple junkyard search. I *think* I found one I can machine to work from a 2003 Lincoln LS (3.9L V8), but I just don’t know yet. Anyone tried this or have any thoughts?

RIP 2005 Buick LaCrosse CXS “Jumba” - gone too soon, 229K. 6/2017-2/2018

What do the stock vs the LS one look like? I've honestly got very little knowledge of either.

I’ve seen it. Got sick of waiting for a throttle body I could use to show up in a junkyard, may as well see if I can get a different cheap one to work. Will have to do same degree of work

Yeah, I subsequently noticed your recent post over there. If you can get it to work, that should make some people happy. Good luck with it.

Tested the motor on the LS throttle body. It is functional, and I can plug and play with it and the stock wiring harness. Won’t get around to machining the throttle body until mid to late October however, as I need to get a couple tools from home over fall break.

Time table changed. Gave in to a whim and spent $20 at walmart for the tools I need for the throttle body. I may modify more of them for other Panther owners if the results are satisfactory, so I consider the costs well spent. Going on this weekend.

I used a dremel to cut the gasket plate for the throttle body around the gear axle thing. Used that to mark where to drille, drilled the throttle body, installed. It’s a dream, no loss of power according to butt dyno, but superior throttle response.
