    Hello from Austria

Hello or "Servus" like we say from Austria. My name is Gerald an I'm happy to found that great forum/community...

I'm restoring at the moment a 1975 Lincoln Mark IV with some modifications like 508 stroker, converted to Megasquirt MPI, 3.5 traclock rear...

    Here some pictures:

As a daily I've a 1988 Lincoln Town Car bone stock at the time.

In the future I plan some decent modification but at first I've to repair the comming things on my box. Last week i replaced the heat exchanger inside the car

    Greetings,

    Gerald

Welcome Gerald! Glad to have you here, do you know about the trick of putting a cheap 3/8" socket in the heater core inlet hose/tube to act as a flow restriction so it doesn't blow under heavy load? Feel free to ask any questions you might have, and thanks for the great pictures. Good luck with your project car.

      Welcome!

Mark V's are nice, nice job on the paint work! THe color is fabulous, you keeping it as a slick top?

I used to DD a 1988 Town Car too. Then I liked it too much so it became a garage/road trip queen.

'Tatoes, The inlet hose on my TC has a restrictive portion in it, core still developed a leak. Haven't fixed it yet.

I’m guessing Lincoln’s are an unusual sight in Austria?

Looks like the 75 got the finest treatment. How much base and clear did it take?

          nice rides.
and yes... heater core job is a pain.

Hey sxcpotatoes, no the restrictor trick is new to me, sounds plausible. And yes I've a question regarding the heater core... my heater core was bypassed with the two heater hoses, I'm insecure about right connection of those hoses on the core.
I've connected the hose coming from the engine on the driver side of the core and the hose coming from the ATC to the passenger side, is it right?

@ DerekTheGreat Thanks it's the original colour and I've put on a vinyltop from sms fabrics:

@ Tiggie you are right there a quit rare especially as a daily I don't remember the amout of colour, but the painter did a great job.

                    Welcome.

I don't think the hose arrangement is critical. Use whichever fits best. One way the hoses fit OK, the other way they do not.

Regarding your trick with the socket... few days ago I replaced the ATC thing and I found a restrictor inside one of those hoses. Maybe my car has it original?!
