Certainly sounds like a sticky IAC to me.

Yup. Sounds like sticky IAC. The throttle stop may also be a turn out as well. If it won't idle in park with the IAC unplugged and the SPOUT jumper removed, the throttle stop needs to be turned until it will idle around 550-650 rpm. Then plug the other stuff back in and see how it does.

I swapped out the ICU and it still doe the same thing. I'm starting to suspect the gas is bad. Really the ICU didn't even look that bad. Frankly it was so clean it was startling. There was some carbon build up bit it didn't look that bad. I put on the one from the VIC and it still wanted to die at idle. HOWEVER when I put the car into drive and reverse it didn't die when I put my foot on the brake.

        Sooo. IDFK.

Curious to know what the engine idle speed is, just in case someone dinked around with the stop plate. However, old gas could be of concern. Easiest thing to be would run the old crap out, and refill with fresh stuff and see if the condition clears up.

Does it seem worse when it's cold or hot?
