Heater control valve 1988 Marquis 5.0

Is the control valve on the heater hoses by the motor?

There really isn't a heater control valve on these. The blend door is full coolant flow all the time, temperature is changed with the blend door. The thing in the heater hoses is the thermal blower lockout. It keeps the blower from running in floor mode when the engine is cold. It also tends to cause vacuum leaks which make for other problems.

Are you having some specific issue?
