15" wheels for rear disc swap??

I've got a lead on two 15x7 and two 15x8 wheels I want to pick up for my '84. Question is if I do a rear disc swap with say a 95-97 rear end will 15" wheels still clear. I just noticed tire sizes changed from 15 in 95 to 16 in 96/97? I know it would stop me from the front big brake swap but oh well.

Yes. 92-97 cars came with rear disc and many had a 15" wheel. The front brakes changed in 1998 and that forced a 16". 15" will fit up to 97, but some did have a 16 from 95 onward. The 95-97 brakes are somewhat bigger than stock, but not massively so.

personally I'd skip the wheels and go for the larger brakes, but I'm a lot more concerned with how the pedal feels from inside the car than what the car looks like on the outside.
