True enough but is it worth it for 3 or 4 cars? Guess it depends if you like to "roll your own"!

"Hammer" Crimper is what I have, good enough for Lincoln Electric, good enough for me. Ain't nobody going to see the crimp if you heat shrink it. =-)

Me too. Works great. Got a big kit of copper ring terminals for small to FAT cable.

I like the solder ends you installed. I did very similar on my crown victoria. Certainly made for a very nice cable end.

have a hammer crimper at work. I will admit I tried talking them into a fancy press type so I could use it for my own stuff but the boss wouldn't go for it. He uses those bolt together things on his cars. All side post batteries too, he's like a double sadist for loving bad connections.

I've used the repair terminals... but now I get newer OEM terminals and adapt to those now

Side post FTW! I hate top post. =-) If the whale had the space for sideterminals I would change to a side post battery in it also.

Put new tires on this machine this week. The old ones had some life left but got a deal on new ones in the size I wanted.

Toyo Open Country AT II, which are possibly being discontinued. $99 for a $250 tire? I'll take four please.

295/75r16, which about a 33" tire. Wide but not silly wide. Honestly a bit more aggressive than I prefer but they are actually pretty quiet on the road. The increase diameter keeps the rpm down a bit, which is nice since the V10 has some interesting exhaust harmonics between 2200-2600 rpm.

Here's a pic. It's dirty but the weather has turned into winter finally, so it is what it is.
