          That is the same radio that was in my 91 when I got it, which over time developed a strange failure...pressing various buttons on it would cause it to power off, then re-awaken after a couple seconds. It started with one of the preset buttons and gradually spread to more of the buttons to the point it was unusable. I wonder if something similar has happened here.

            Same radio in my 89 TC, when the caps go bad it gets real funky until it dies and needs to be rebuilt.

                That is a sharp car. Well worth a reasonable price. I like the pretty lady too.
