Nice find. The interior looks fantastic.

The early boxes had so much good detail into them inside and out.

It was a fun day getting this one going. I was expecting some swiss cheese underside, but that's not the case. It looks way better than I expected.

          Definitely a good buy.

Yeah, looks krispy on the outside but minty on the inside. Pretty cool. Sucks to hear about the '78 but oh well. Couldn't you swap a disc brake rear from a Mark V in?

I wasn't sure if you were going to get on here make a thread. I mentioned the '79 in another thread.
See the responses there on the optional passenger side mirror that this one does not have.

Really cool find. I only know of two '79-'82 panthers around here. At that price it was derby bait so kudos for stepping in and adding her to the fleet. So many cool little styling flourishes on the early cars. Wish you the best moving forward with the build(s)!

Yes that only lasted a few years years ! Wonder how many state vehicle inspectors failed vehicles for no horn.

Like the fuse box location, replaced 30A circuit breaker; power seats work now and 1 of the doors lock.

Did you get the shop manual yet? Good to know the power seat works now. The lock actuators are probably bloated with rust. The front passenger lock would not move manually so I'm pretty sure that actuator is frozen with rust.

                            Not yet.
Probably will hold off on the actuators; I ravage door panels and the cold weather doesnt make it any better....so til mid Spring. I also need to grease the skids on the window regs. I will say I never have owned a vehicle this color before for some reason earth tones get more appealing as you age.
