$50 1985 grand marquis questions

    ok i opened up the radiator to check the antifreeze.... the is no antifreeze just water, thats whay it over heated the rad was frozen and it got no coolant to the engine, so im heating the radiator with a spache heater and draining it so i can put anti freeze in, now another question how doyou get the damned hubcaps off? i already got them loose but they wont come off, HELP

      The rattlers?

      Under the centercaps, there are what they call wheel locks.

      Look in your glove box for a tool to remove them...

        no tool, but on the upside the car purs like kitten now, the radiator was corroded like a bizatch, so i flushed it with warm water and it runs better than when i got it, i think the head is good to go, so how can i get this thing off the wheel

            without that tool will be tough, try needle nose vise grips maybe
            check in the trunck for the tool, T shaped and round
            any suggestions guys?

                          the reason im asking is cause i have a 4 barrel edelbrock thats sitting on my 351w 1979 f150, that isnt going anywhere anytime soon

                            Ha, I'm swapping to a 4bbl within the next few weeks. Funny thing is you have an 85 mercury and a 79 ford pickup, I got an 85 mercury and a 77 ford pickup. :banana:

                                not a direct bolt on...

                                theres a good amount of work also needed, the igition and TV (kickdown) setups all need to be reworked, as well and the fuel system, a tad...

                                It aint imposable, and I run an edelcrock myself (and like it) but it just tkaes some work and $$...
