    Front control arms 06 ->

    I have 09 GM so both front control arms are factory made with stamped steel. Questions:

    - can I instal plug and play upper arm with forged steel ?
    - can I instal plug and play lower arm with aluminium ?
    - is forged steel upper arm heavier than stamped steel ?

    The front control arms should be the same 03+.
    As far as weight... no clue. Forged is generally heavier than stamped, but if the forged is skinnier, it may be lighter. It won't be much of a difference either way as far as the car will be concerned though.

      Yes on all 3 questions. I have a '10 Town Car, that I replaced the upper arms with the stronger forged ones. The weight difference is negligible. Be forewarned, you will have to remove the struts to replace the arms. Depending on the mileage, and wear, you might want to replace them at the same time.
