I think a fun thread would be stuff from Facebork Marketplace highlighting the outlandish values some people assign to their junk! $1500 is not beyond the realm of reason (if that's indeed what this guy is asking). There are 2 "Panther" wagons in the SE region
right now advertised for
over $6000 (hint: they're not super mint <10K mile "survivors", either!

) I call this "Facebook Market Value". Formula for FMV is usually
actual market value X 10, but sometimes more if it's a "Mopar" or something that looks sorta like something else they saw on some reality TV show and heard it was "valuable".
Some other favorite "Facebook Marketing Techniques" are:
* showing a picture of a restored car from the internet that is NOT the rusted out hulk they actually have for sale
* showing a picture of the car 35 years ago when it was practically
new
* price = "$1234"
* miles are advertised as whatever is showing on the odometer, as though rolling over twice "renewed" the miles somehow (this could also be explained by millennial and younger sellers who don't grasp that old cars can't show more than 99,999.9 miles!)
* "I want $9000 for this rusted out, burned out, no engine, smashed window '68 Falcon 4-door six-cylinder car, but DON'T TEXT ME ASKING A BUNCH OF QUESTIONS" or statements to that effect
