'05 Grand Marquis Door Handle/Armrest Repair

My armrest has been slowly unraveling; and this afternoon it just kinda popped out. I tried to pry it back into place; but I made it far worse than it was. How do I reattach the armrest? Can it even be repaired? Minor problem/irritation I guess.

Had the same problem on my Marauder not nearly as bad. What I did was removed door panel, mixed up some 2 part epoxy & applied. Then used a piece of wood the same length as the armrest & a big C clamp to hold it in place overnight. Been good for a couple of years now.

      +1 glue it back down.
