    New Member from Maine

New member here from Maine, just picked up a nice 2004 Grand Marquis LS. Beautiful car, in great shape. Loving it so far. It came up from Florida in 2015, and the last owners were a pastor and his wife, who took great care of it.

    Welcome to the forums!

Here you'll find very knowledgeable folks willing to help. Lots of writeups on many different mods and fixes already here, the search system just needs a bit of getting used to.

          Welcome!

If you're going to drive it in the salt, have it treated with Fluid Film or Krown. Those things are the only products which are effective against corrosion.

Thanks! I’m from the Machias area. Cool that you’re from Bangor! It had been undercoated by the previous owner, before it ever saw salt, and it shows. The underside looks brand new. Plan on keeping up with it using Fluid Film, that stuff works great on the old Ford plow truck I have.

Yeah, I like that stuff better than Krown- it really stays put. Krown seems to take 2-3 applications and light exposure to rain before it really takes foot & stays permanent. But it's all you can get done out by me.
