1988 Lincoln Town Car Rim size

    Hello all,
Can I put 16" rims on my 1988 Lincoln Town Car? Right now I have the original 15" on there but I want to change them cause I want to drive the car alot and preserve the original tires and rims...
    I'm thinking these ones .....

16s from a '98-'02 car or any HPP (like the one in the photo) will fit fine. The only issue with the HPP rim is the normal center caps won't clear the front hubs unless you run a Lincoln LSC center cap, IIRC.

You could run a 225/60R16 or 235/60R16 tire and it'll be close to your existing tire profile. The 235 width tire will give you a bit more of a footprint, which may be advantageous to you.

What do you mean by HPP?

"HPP" refers to the Handling and Performance Package. Vehicles equipped with the HPP received those wheels from the factory. Hence the HPP name. Not an official name, but a simple way of categorizing them.
