    Can you use rear frame bumper shocks for the front frame bumper shocks

    As long as the plates are the same bolt pattern and the shock is the same diameter (which I think it is), it "should" work, but I'm wagering modification of the mounting plate for the reinforcement bar will be required.

    Not sure if the year of yours, but I have a 83/91 collision catalog that lists the front and rear as the same part number.

    There are differences between years but they are all the same from the front to the back of a box.
