Removed vinyl top. Still cleaning glue off and have begun welding up the 4,346 holes that held all the trim. Going hard top.

05 AC boxes both mount up to 84 firewall. I’m using 84 interior so the 05 internal box under dash fits but ductwork is not the same. So I took all the components from the 05 and fit them to 84 box. Not a whole lot of difference. So now all the AC controls and components will be 05’s complete system other than ducts. I was even able to use the internal doors from the 05, the 84’s were crusty lol

Plastic was scratched up so I had an idea to change it up. Dash will be changed to black and will be adding black wood grain in place of the old grain.

Scored a mint dash, then had to make it black using SEM color coat

Nice find ! I have found the Sem paint easy to use. Depending on the color change, Sem primer should be used prior to the color coat.

Just clean it really good to get oils etc. off and do multiple light coats until it’s covered. It’s not cheap but it’s pretty good stuff.
