    What year did the CFI switch from EEC III to EEC IV?

    EEC-IV first appeared on the 1983 1.6L EFI, 2.3L High Swirl Combustion (HSC), 2.3L EFI Turbo and 2.8L truck engines.

        My gut says 1984. A member on here has a 1983 Mark VI and that's EEC-III. Another has a 1984 Town Car and that's EEC-IV.
