Good to see another Panther carving the corners out there?

Auto-crossing was a blast, but I never got serious enough into it to invest in the right tires for it. It definitely let me find the limits of the car with street tires though. A couple more auto-x pics to add to this dial-up monstrosity:

I bought the black on black grill right after I got the Marauder because I wasn't very partial to the Mercury "waterfall" emblem. I don't know, something about it just looks kind of cheesy to me.

When I saw Zack's chrome on black badgeless grill I new that was what the front end was missing. The blacked out front end is certainly menacing looking, but it pushed the look too close to a "GI" CV for my taste. That and it seems everyone has one now. I was able to recoup a lot of what the first grill cost me by selling it to another Marauder owner.

One of this year's projects is to relocate the FMIC to behind the grill and I thought the chrome grill would camouflage it a whole lot better. That, getting the OEM rears widened, and putting the CAR Motorsports gods head emblem on the trunk should be the last of the appearance mods.

I was at one time thinking about a white racing stripe or stripes, but that might be a little over the top. I reserve the right to change my mind on that at any time though. Anyone handy with Photoshop want to give me some stripes?

A dark charcoal ghost stripes might fit a little better, but I dunno I cant talk, I had white stripes put on the 71 chevelle.

So I finally dug out the old grill and modifying it for the CAR Motorsports gods head emblem.





The detail to the emblem is awesome up close, but looses all detail from 5 feet away. I thought about painting the background black or red.

Here's a closeup of the rear emblem:



What do you think, keep it like it is, paint the background, or go back to the badgeless black on chrome grill?
