Boxman, I'll bet your car's rack is a dealer installed one. Mine sits further back than that...the support should be in line with the slats...you can kinda see that in 85Mercpark's sig pic...

The racks are the same, Boxmans rack just wasn't installed properly...
His ends before the rear window, you can see in your sig that your rack is mounted further back on the roof, just like mine...Builder/Owner of Badass Panther Wagons
