After machine work and installation of rotating assembly

I had to get them now though because the guy I bought them from was going to take them to a swap meet next weekend.

Paid 250 for em, no valves or springs. Just going to buy the valves and a cam kit then take em to the guy that's doing the machine work on my block to do a valve job

the block that was in the car (ie the engine that was in when i bought the car) is crap

The block in my sig is the one getting rebuilt. I bought it a while back out of a low mileage 84 grand marq.

ah, i see. thatll work... but i would have gotten an 85 and done a roller assembly in it. unless you want the numbers to match up or something.

Not really gonna be able to use that fuel rail I don't think. Might need to pick up a stock panther rail and the lines from the frame rail to the fuel rail. There is a connector down near the frame. I'd assume the frame rail lines are identical from CFI to SEFI but the lines on the motor itself aren't.

why you say that on the fuel rail? if i'm using all the components from the same car it should work, i think.

                  Or are there clearance issues?

Fox body fuel rails are different from the Panther chassis. Fox body rails have the fuel inlet and return on the same side(passenger side), Panther chassis has the inlet on the passenger side and the return on the drivers side.
If you are going to attempt to convert a CFI car, I suppose it would be easy enough to run the return line on the passenger side to make the Fox body rail work.

Nice that the heads have screw in studs and guide plates.

The 86 HO engine has a smaller throttle body than 87 up and a smaller bore in the intake for that throttle body.
