    Newb in Maine

    Hello everyone!
My grandmother just turned 96 in September and decided that driving isn't for her anymore and that she wanted to give me her car.
It's a blue(inside and out) 99 Grand Marquis LS Presidential edition that had 61,488 miles on it the day she gave it to me.

It's a really nice car and even though it's not a Jeep I really enjoy driving it, despite the fact that it desperately needs an alignment and a set of shocks!
It's in excellent condition even though it's lived it's whole life in Maine, where the roads get thoroughly plastered with salt every winter.
The minimal mileage has definitely helped keep the rust to a minimum.

It's got some quirks, but I'll bring those up in a different post in the appropriate section.

          Welcome!

Once you get those new shocks and alignment the car should be even more enjoyable, and I'm sure someone here will have advice on whatever quirks there are.

Welcome! You'll learn something new about the car damn-near every time you drive it and learn to love/hate the quirks of these boats. Pretty much any information you could possibly need on the car is contained herein so you've come to the right place. Enjoy and we look forward to pictures and banter.

Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone!
              Mainemantom, I'm in Phippsburg.
If you've ever been to Popham Beach, you've driven by my house.

I'll take a wild guess that you're also in Maine. Lol

Yeah, I love these big old boats and I've had a few boats in the past.

I'll definitely be asking some questions, and hopefully may be able to answer a question or two for someone else. Lol
