I've never seen a factory cruise module with a big Ford oval and a pinout sticker. Dealer install seems pretty likely. Probably the same module inside as the factory thing though.

No problem. It is an awful thing to replace. I admit now that I use the parking brake all of the time it would be nice to have it functioning...but it aint gonna happen.
I bought one for the Conti. After way too long I managed to get the bastard thing in there, only to find that one of the screw holes was stripped. First time I shifted through the gears, it moved out of position enough that the bit on the shift lever that engages the C shaped plastic thing on the release came out. The second time I shifted it through the gears, that bit on the shifter caught the top of the plastic part on the release and busted it so it won't stay engaged. I disconnected it and left it alone. So there is a nearly un-used broken part in that car that took me a good 2 hours to install and about 2 minutes to destroy. Fuck that thing.
