    Better late than never

Some of you have seen me hanging around...some of you have given me rep points, so I must be doing something right

My name is Kevin, you know me as blkpnthr, CVN and a good chunk of other people know me as kishy. Windsor, Ontario, Canada. I'm 24 and have two vehicles:

    1983 Grand Marquis LS 2-door
302 w/factory Motorcraft 2 barrel carb. Probably 3.08 open rear.
Dark Red Metallic (non-clearcoat) with white pinstripes (paint is in desperate need of some love), with white vinyl top in good shape.
Red cloth interior that for the most part looks like it just rolled out of the showroom.

And the daily...1991 Grand Marquis LS
302, SEFI, blah blah blah, you know this stuff. 3.08 open rear.
Ebony solid clearcoat ("black") paint with red pinstripes front to rear along the body lines. Paint/clearcoat is awesome for its age but could use a little corrective effort. Black cloth full carriage top (the type with the fiberglass shell and smaller rear window). Seams/edges a bit rough but the ragtop is overall in decent shape.
Currant Red (aka porno red!) leather interior, front seat covers were redone by previous owner.

    So...why am I here?
I'm online a fair bit and I like discussion forums...particularly ones that pertain to interests, and my cars interest me
Whenever possible I do my own repairs and maintenance because I enjoy it, and I'd like to think I'm at least halfway competent.
I started out on CVN but have come to realize that all the people with the box knowledge and experience are also on here, if not primarily. This does unfortunately mean that I'll eventually be bringing some unresolved issues/questions from CVN with me, since I'm not quite satisfied with the way the '91 runs (or starts, idles, shifts, or other things).

So yeah. That's me, those are my cars, and here's my official introduction I suppose.

Thanks all for the welcome...I've posted in Reader's Rides: http://www.grandmarq.net/vb/showthre...50755-My-Rides

I've had the '91 since April 2012 and it was my first car (well, technically there was a failed first car project before it, but for all meaningful purposes this is the first).
                  I've had the '83 since October 2013.

Yeah but he (kishy) has been more active on the forum over the past year so maybe Pete just noticed the intro thread now. Lol
Heck, I had a good time at our Detroit mini meet this Summer which kishy was able to attend. He's a smart mang.

Also, quite a few names in this thread that aren't around much these days.
