Of course it's accurate, it's in a Lincoln.
1990 MGM: $50 E7 heads, HO cam, Holley SysteMAX lower intake, HO upper intake with an Explorer TB. LSC ECM. Lincoln logs into stock dual exhaust. K&N drop in air filter. Wide ratio AOD, 2400 converter with a 3.08 one tire fire out back. Car is less slow now. Then there's the '92 Beater. Dual 2.25" exhaust with shiny tips. Rumbles nice. Super slow. Burns oil too.

It was a joke about it being a tach. I had to move it up an hour finally a week or so after I got home to make it display the correct time-zone time. Should have just left it as we fall back soon for DST.

I made same post with that pic on twitter and got a "12000 rpms! #suckitvtech #pantherlove" from Sajeev Mehta.

Noticed on way home from buddy's up north that the left side ditch/cornering light is not working. So I'll have to look at that or put it on the list for the mechanic if I'm feeling lazy. Dropping the car off Mon evening for Tues appointment.

bah... the bulb contacts are probably the issue again. I've replaced that socket once already along with the bulbs, but I can't seem to get those contacts to stay decent for more than a year.

those ditch lights suck like that. Mine have randomly given me trouble too. Water gets into that light and the contacts go to shit. Half the problem with mine was that the original bulb goop turned into petrified peanut butter and did a fine job of insulating the bulbs from electricity. Once I flushed all that crap out, it worked again. The bulbs still randomly fail in ugly ways when they get wet though. I've pulled a number out that looked like expired flash bulbs, or with half the glass just missing after it blew up. If you can re-seal the lamp assembly some, it may help but its just not a water-tight assembly. The foam around the bulb seems to be the big leak point. I think I "rebuilt" my foam with some RTV and let it dry out of the housing before re-assebly.

Springs are supposed to be the same length, right?

which springs ? If we're talking absolutes, then no. There are many kinds of springs, and they need to exist in various sizes for the world to function. If we're talking suspension, then usually springs on a given axle should be the same length. For other types of inquiry, more information is required. should be the same length on the same axle, but front to rear will be different in most if not all cases.
