I drove a 2005 GM LS. THe acceleration was downright ANEMIC!!!! As soon as teh TPS senses 1/2 throttle, it seems to cut back the power. Then I drove a 2006 Mustang GT. Same freaking engine and the GT just kept building power. Not 20 dollar accelerations mind you, need a Big Block for that shit, but very strong. Does one have to reprogram the EPROM to get that power or is there more to the question of lost power?

Marq = 2V 239hp
Mustang GT = 3V 300hp
The Stang probably also has more agressive RAR.
Also I have heard negative thing about the throttle-by-wire set up.-Michael

According to the local dealership Shop supervisore, Hertz and Budget got some. They were test bed vehicles. The new Panthers, due out in 07 or 08 (Yes Panter is getting redesigned NOT scrapped!!!! ) will have the 3v engine.2008 Mercury Grand Marquis GS Bone Stock

Still looking, not finding anything. The local dealsership is a mantinance point for Hertz, and this guy tells me he has worked on 12 Panthers 05 models with the 3V SOHC 4.6L. I woudl guess he would know the difference.2008 Mercury Grand Marquis GS Bone Stock
