    What intake?

Ok, I have determined that the vic will not get the 1997 Exploder intake, because it does not have the internal EGR.

This opens up a realm of new choices. I got 500 bucks to spend. What should I get?

This is going on a stock exploder GT40p longblock, with an HO cam, 1.7 roller rockers, 4 degree advanced cam, and a little headwork (new valve springs, of course)...

Of course, I can sell the other intake to offset the cost, and maybe get a bigger throttle body  quite possibly a 70mm to match the lightnin' spacer I have on the way.

I plan on about a 5200-5400 rpm limit. Discuss.

    Edelbrock Performer uses EGR.
Otherwise, find a way to utilize the external EGR like a stock P motor.

Why do you need to use it, anyway?

why not just find a 96 explorer intake and sell the 97 intake.

Or, you use 94-95 headers, you could rig up some sort of external EGR supply line and feed into the EGR spacer.

Scott never told me about a 96 intake!

I might as well go aftermarket... If the engine breathes well, it will run well too! I was actually leaning towards the Permormer myself...

However that fancy BBK intake looks sick

I think we looked at the possibility of using 94-95 headers and doing external EGR, but where the EGR connects is in that elbow that we'd be getting rid of anyway.
