Well the pulley is held there by what, 4 bolts? Can't it be spaced out somehow?

If it passes with out it on that would be SWEET ... That would be even more weight off of the car and more horse power and thats always good

LOL, have you even looked at your car man? The alt and PS use the further out pulley....Sure you can space it out-need about a 2-3inch spacer. Get someone to machine you a nice billet chunk of aluminum-which would cost about the same as the ASP underdrive...

Capridrifter...All of my cars have passed w/o the smog pump. As stated, the smog pumps is really just for getting the cat going quicker.

Just don't make it irreversible. Never know if the car will fail (maybe for a visual). If the car is in good condition it should have no issue passing.

Mine passed smog without it, but I have fairly new cats. If your cats arent properly functional, you might need that extra air to get it working.

No, I have no idea how my crank pulleys look like, at all, I have no idea about anything under the hood for that matter... however you look at this:

Still claim it will be 2-3" spacer needed to bolt the Mustang pulley (first pic) instead of the Panther one (second pic)? Then there is always this:

It's a 52% crank pulley for a 5.8 truck engine - will these bolt to our engines?

yes, they will bolt to it. The balancers are the same.. Mustang one will still need some spacing. That truck one is way to small.. A stock stang one would probably be enough underdrive. A mustang underdrive will probably be too much underdrive for a vic. Might want to check out a stock truck pulley though.

Lucky for me, any car I drive will pass an emissions test. I run them for a living. Also nice having access to a dyno.

Yeah, I always laugh when I look at the employee cars at the emissions inspection station...especially the mustang with off road H-pipe.

Actually, you wouldnt believe the shitboxes that pass, volkswagon jetta with 650,000km on it blowin blue smoke sounding like theres a jar of marbles floatin around the motor, still passed(not by much mind you) and then the opposite, I had a 2002 nissan sentra fail last week. But employee vehicles always pass But anyways, this is off the topic of underdrive pulleys, so no more posts on here from me, got the info I wanted. Thanks everyone

Just ordered the crank pully from ASP got the aluminum one. Saved some money and about 3 weeks of waiting time by not having them anodize it. Price around 100.00 that way and 1 week dilivery. Can paint it myself with urathane enamel.

Ohh, didn't realize you could order it un-anodized...I may have to do that...
