Well looks like a new tech write-up is coming.

My timing cover gasket has blown out and is spewing coolent. So very soon I will be going in and replacing the timing chain and gears, as well as water pump and others. Only the internal stuff will be perfect tech because of the 95 Mustang engine, but most all of it will be relevent info either way.

Again my baby was nice to me a blew it out in the driveway when I went to move it for my roomate to back his trailer up the driveway. Saved from having to be on the side of the road again.

At least it was considerate enough to blow out in your driveway, most cars would have waited until you got out on the highway to blow their load.

Nice. Not too bad of a job though. Would be nice if it was a tad warmer outside though.

Treat them right and they'll treat you right. S.U.'s trans held out from IN all the way to ND. Blew the gasket ten miles from home. These cars are more dependable than most people think.

Glad to hear it happened at home and not on the road, man.

I'm a broke as mother. I like quiet as well. If I was into noise all the time I wouldn't have spent 300 on exhaust cut outs so I could have both quiet and noisy.

Well I ordered the Trick Flow Billet steel bouble roller. It was the cheapest one that was double roller and had billet steel cam AND crank sprocket. $63.39 is not too bad IMHO, not only a good price but with a name brand.

I orded the Ford Racing water pump, figure it's probably the OEM waterpump on the engine anyways, and at $48.95 why the hell not?

Fel-pro timing cover gasket kit completed the purchase. I'm going to a do a full tech write-up on the procedure and work involved with lots of pics. Though since this is an SN95 engine there are going to be a lot of initial steps that do not neccessarily apply to panthers in general. but I overall a lot of the project will. Most 302s are about te same.

You keeping the backwards water pump and extra idler setup or converting back to standard rotation and belt routing?

Other than your extra pulley, the rest of the process is the same, you've got all the same bs attached to the water pump other than the fan.

Keeping the same setup. Served me well for the past 100,000 miles, so I figure I'll just keep it.

Was it you that had problems with the belts getting chewed up all the time or someone else?
