Too much money. You can pick up a nice Explorer 5.0 around here for $500.

He says the trans needs attention, and you can't use it anyway so it's basically useless.

    You can find one cheaper.

That's a little better. The T-Bird HO was the same as the Mustang HO, but the horsepower dropped a little reportedly due to a more restrictive exhaust and intake.

Sedan Cargo Coils are probably what you'll need. You can run the wagon ones, but in my opinion they lift a sedan too high.

Is this for your P72? If so, you already have the HD sway bars. I guess you could put a 1 13/16 hollow wagon front sway bar, but I don't think you'll see any difference over the 1 1/8 solid you have now.

Too much money for a stock HO with 135K on it,Awhile back I bought a complete 96 explorer engine with only 65K on the clock for only $500,now I have deceided to go with a ported HO buildup instead on my Vic,since my stock Vic block has been very well taken care of.If You have a P72 then you have both the 1 1/8 front sway bar and 1in rear sway bar allready, the wagon front bar will be slightly better, but probibly not enough to notice.

And Yes,stay away from the wagon cargo coils on a sedan.I had heard so many good things about them before,so it was one of the first things I did to my box when I got it.After I got them installed and the car back on the ground,It sat up so high it looked like I had Hydraulic's on it jacked up in the rear, looked freakin retarded, what a waste of time.I put the stock ones back on.

Over here they go for about 1000 bucks. I don't know why the price is so high but it is? is Blaze the one that did this swap? if so I would like some pointer's from him If we go and check out the engine and it has good oil and has been well taken care of then we will get it since around here the choices of engine to choose from is EXTREMELY slim......Oh aroand here just the HO plate that go's on top of the intake is $25.00

i got a complete mark vii parts car with an extremely well running HO for $200. Trans was fried but the engine was in super shape. Mark VII motors are usually less beat on than Mustang ones.

Still, Mustangs & T-birds are considered fun (the stupid kind) cars, Cougars not so much but still there. Mark VII has the same powertrain as the Mustang, but not many people seem to know that, so those are generally considered a grandpa car, well sorta. Look for a Mark VII engine, chances are it's gonna be in better shape that a stang or a bird/cat at the same miles.

I'm kinda hijacking this thread temporarily. What was the last year the Vic came with a carbed engine? Not CFI, but just carbed.
