    Leaks !!!!!!!

Hello again . Nice to see you OK hers the problem. My breather tube going into my air filter box is shooting out a mist of oil !! It is covering my air filter & leaving a puddle of oil in my air box. What can I do to fix this ? can I bypass that ? Could I just take it off & do something different with the hole in the valve cover ? I know I can't just plug it up. So what should I do?

    But wait theres more!!!
I am having a water problem in my oil dipstick tube! It's the milky buildup. I work at an oil change shop so I know to check for things likie that. When I drain it there is NO water! So I know it's just in the dip stick tube. W T F !!!!!?????

You need to make sure your PCV system is working properly. It should not be blowing oil like that or getting water in the oil. If all that is working, your motor is pretty much shot.

      PCV

How do I check to see if my PCV system is working correctly. I do have a new PCV in there that I bought from Ford.

There is a screen underneath the PCV valve that gets clogged up. Replace that, and make sure the PCV valve fits snug in the rubber grommet. Might also not be a bad idea to shoot some carb cleaner through the PCV valve to make sure the line isn't clogged up.

Ok cool sounds good I'll TRY that. That should stop the misting oil right ???? IU'm getting sick of cleaning out the oil & replacing the air filter every few months.

It should help, unless the engine has massive blowby problems.

I have water in my dipstick tube as well, and was loosing alot of oil. I replaced my intake gaskets which should fix the problem.

                Intake gasket

OK I was told before to replace my intake gasket by I guy who (I thought) didn't know what he was talking about. I went & bought one but I didn't replace it yet. I work from 8 am to 7 pm almost every day so it's damn near impossible for me to find time to work on her. Also since she is my daily driver & I have no other cars I can not afford for her to be out for more than 4 hours.
I have never done that gasket replacement before. Should I even try to do it myself ??? How much would it cost (ballpark) to have someone else do it for me ?? Is it as hard as it looks to do ??
Another thing, with my air tube leak on the back. Where could I pick a new one? Should I even try a junk yard? I know I'll be able to get at it easier if I have the top of the engine taken off. So I'll most likely replae it when I do (or have done) the intake.

                  PCV

On the PCV it has 2 ports on the top. Is the top one supposed to be pluged up with that little plastic stopper? or should I leave it out. When I take it out the engine idles real high & when I plug it up it's a little low.
I looked under th PCV into the rubber gromet & there is NO screen. There is just the bar that goes accross to hold th oil cap on.
I still need to get some carb cleaner to spray in the tube. I'll probably get some tomarrow. Would that stuff work at all on my throttle body ? As far as I can tell its clean but I just want to make sure. It wouldn't fuck it up at all would it ?

The plastic stopper should be in the upper port. If it's not in there, it creates a vacuum leak.

well if it's an 85, then you need to replace the filler cap that the pcv goes into......it's probably all crudded up inside
