    Trans Leak!

A while back, I tried to put in an Alluminum Driveshaft. It would not fit, so I put the stock one back in.
Ever since then, my trans has been leaking fluid right where the driveshaft meets the tail of the transmission.
I thought I had put it in wrong, but it's either in or it isn't.
Do I need a new seal around there or something? How much should it cost me to fix the leak?
    Thanks for any feedback...

yeah, I'd think you tore the seal up...Replace it.

Yeah, they are cheap, couple dollars. Use a large screw driver to pry it out, and use a mallet or small hammer and lightly and evenly tap the new one in. 10-15 minute job. Jack the rear higher and you won't have to worry about fluid coming out.

I can just get that seal at autozone or somewhere like that?
is it called a tailshaft seal or what?

Tailshaft seal, output shaft seal, drive shaft transmission seal, what ever. They will know what you are talking about. Any parts store will have it.
