Did you know that the ltd crown vic made a good dirt track car I bought the car for $300 bucks off of ebay and made it into a race car I run the road warrior ,bomber class suppose to be "stock"

I still run the CFI........

but i have 4.56 gears . CFI works as good as it can no problem not as strong on the sraight aways as the 4 barrels but i havent finished last yet against the mighty &^%$#@@ chevy's most of thr time i bet more of them than i lose to but im gonna run this motor untill it blows and install a 351 w the first couple of pic are my first 2 races the third is a fellow driver the last 2 are the last race i think the very last is when i was 1st place at one point i nail the curves just not much on the straight aways

yeah before the last race we put a front right spring from a 70's model lincoln and i swear that was probably be the toughest thing on a car i ever did it wasnt suppose to fit we put the whole thing in their no cutting some one told me from my old spring to the lincold spring the difference in height should have gave me a 4 inch lift , i have chained the back left frame down to the axle so the back left wont lift in to the turn, i might be wrong if im reading the timing right i moved the timing by ear the first time like 4 races ago finally i broke down and bought a timing light and if im checking right i was running like 25 btc and i think i was looking in the right place thiers a notch where you read it right or do i look at the hole to the left of the notch i have cut off the exhaust but absolutly everything else is bone stock do you guys know of any other mods except changing to the carb

To set timing on a CFI car you need to pull the spout connector which is a black cylindrical harness next to the distributor. Then hook up the timing light and make sure you mark the balancer so you can see the numbers. Rotate the dizzy till you get where you want. I think 5-10* is where you want it for a CFI car. I forget what the best timing for a cfi car is.

edit, dont look at the hole, look at the very end of it.

You want the flat part of the pointer. You dont use the notch in the damper. There are actually numbers stamped into it that you need to clean off and dot with paint.
