On one of the tire fittings I actually have a 6" galvanized steel 1/4" pipe, so they do exist. Thinking about it, mine could be bronze instead of brass. Its darker than brass, but its probably also older than I am, so who knows.

brass. it came from the drawer at work labelled "air fittings". Its just a 1/4"x3" pipe nipple that I imagine could be found in steel or chrome at a plumbing place.

Scott, you have a CE light in your Townie? Mine doesn't have one, at least none that I've ever seen.

That low oil level light is nice. It clued me in to a leak problem that developed suddenly. I checked the oil when gassing up, it was 1/2 quart low and I ignored it as I was going to change the oil the next day. Next morning, the light pops on and i was 1 1/2 quarts low. Filled up, got to work, it came on again. Turns out the pipe I installed to get my oil pressure sender clearing the filter had cracked at the block and was dumping oil out. EZ-Out and a new pipe fixed it all.

yeah, the "oil" light works off a level sender in the pan - its supposed to tell you if its low, not pressure

I noticed this becuase the wiring harness i pulled to replace mine had an extra wire to the oil pan... and the car had the oil light.
