    Started working on the crate....

Unwrapped the 96 Exploder motor today. Looks nice. I can 't believe the factory manifolds on that thing! They look like someone drove over them before they were put on! Ripped all of the wiring off, took the TB off, plugged up a bunch of the holes in it so it's a bit more waterproof.

I dug out most of the vic accessories I need to clean and paint. And I noticed I destroyed the fuel rail on the 87, and I sold my 91 rail. Oops.
I can't wait to get that motor in.

Also changed the oil, and noticed I destroyed the swaybar bushings Guess the 400 or so miles I put on it over the weekend were a little too hard. Didn't get the rear swaybar in yet though...

Got the cam, valvesprings, and timing chain delivered yesterday. Ordered intake gaskets this morning, still waiting for the EGR spacer. Working on polishing the aluminum bracketry on the accessories. Also painting the valve covers, oil pan, and other parts up real nicely. Going to do some stuff tomorrow, some more painting and such. I still haven't put the rear bar on the car yet. Will do that tomorrow-because I'm autocrossing it sunday.

The trans isleaking out the bellhousing, so when I pull the engine, I'll have to see how bad that problem is. I can't afford to do the trans right now, so hopefully it's just the TC seal.

sweeet. I wanted to steal the motor out of my brothers 5.0 explorer.... looking under the hood of one of those is wierd. Mostly the teeney sensor down in the distributor hole and the dual coil packs. I wouldnt mind making that work with CFI
