Propane conversion

I think propane here is about $2/gallon, and gas is $2.30. The fact you consume more propane than gasoline for the same power probably would make it cost about the same per mile i would think.

The carb setup is pretty common. I'm looking for a EFI conversion. Maybe a dual fuel setup. It'd cut into the truck space, but at this rate it'd be worth it.

On the farm we had a '72 F-150 that ran on both propane and fuel.

Where would you put the propane tank on your wagon?

I've seen stuff on propane carbs before. My uncle has a forklift with a Chrysler slant six that runs on propane. Funky looking carb arrangement from what I remember, but its been a while. From what I recall, to get the same energy from propane as you get from gasoline, you have to burn more of it. Supposed to be the equivalent of like 140 octane tho.

alcohol might be easier, although it might be a little harder tp find.

Definately looking into this for the wagon. With the way gas prices are going, I don't want ot even move the car around the parking lot! Not finding too much info on doing a conversion on an efi though.
